Women's & Non-Binary Softball Introduction

Join us this June for a FREE four week introduction to the awesome world of softball open to women and non-binary players!

Whilst Coventry Blitz are a super friendly mixed gender team, we appreciate that joining a new group can be daunting. That's why we are organising this introductory program for women and non-binary players to get an introduction our friendly and social sport.

Sessions are suitable for all fitness, skill and experience levels and all equipment is provided.

THESE SESSIONS ARE FREE TO ATTEND!

We will work through the basics and progress throughout the 4 weeks to learn more about the game and skills involved.

Sessions will take place at Bishop Ullathorne School from 18:15 til 19:45 on the following Wednesdays;

7th, 14th, 21st & 28th June

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there parking at the school? Yes! Parking is available within the school grounds free of charge.

Is there any public transport nearby? The closest bus route is #9 run by NX Coventry. You can see more about the venue here.

What should I wear? Layered sports clothing and footwear with good grip are ideal (metal studded footwear or spikes are not permitted). This is Britain after all so it's conceivable we will experience many weathers and temperatures! We also recommend bringing a drink with you as there are no facilities to buy at the school however there is a local shop just outside the gates.

Do I need any special equipment? No! Everything you need will be provided. If you happen to have your own softball/baseball glove or bat then feel free to bring that along.

What happens if it rains? Generally - rain does not stop play. In some circumstances the club committee may decide that sessions cannot continue in line with our promise to provide a safe environment for our players.

I'm under 18, can I still participate? Yes. Sessions are open to players 14+. All under 18 players will require an additional permission form to be submitted from their parent/guarding/responsible adult. A copy of the clubs youth policy can be provided upon request.

Do I need to attend all 4 sessions? No, though it would be beneficial if you were able to attend all 4!

Is it completely free? Yes! 100%!

What happens at the end of the 4 weeks? This will be the end of our bespoke women & non-binary sessions. We'd love for you to continue playing with us in our main mixed sessions where you will be welcomed with open arms! Note charges will apply to continue playing beyond the 4 weeks.
