FAQs

Where will the sessions be held?
Sports Hall, Bishop Ullathorne School, Leasowes Avenue, Coventry, CV3 6BH. Entrance via Moat Avenue. See image at the bottom of the page.

Remind me of the time and date?
Sessions will be held EVERY Sunday starting 6th October until 15th December inclusive. Following the Christmas break we will resume on 15th January and run until the 23rd March inclusive. All sessions run for 2 hours between 6 & 8pm.

How much does it cost? How do I pay?
Sessions are £6pp unless it's your first session with us which you get FREE! Payment is taken on the night via contactless payment.

What should I wear?
Unlike previous years at the Alan Higgs we will now be in a fully indoor sport hall setting so dress how you feel comfortable. Please wear non-marking gym trainers. Changing rooms are available. Please bring a drink with you as there is nowhere to purchase on site however there are local shops nearby.

I've never played before, can I join?
Absolutely! In fact indoor is a great time to join to beat the winter blues as we will spend more time working on skills and technique. With your first session free and all equipment provided, what have you got to lose?! Warning - may find addictive.

What can I expect from indoor softball? How does it differ from your outdoor sessions?
You'll stay dry! Sessions will roughly follow the same structure as outdoor with a warmup, skills sessions and a game, however more time will be put aside to work on the all important skills. We will use the facilities on offer such as the cricket nets to set up batting lanes and practice, practice, practice! We use a slightly softer ball indoors otherwise equipment remains the same. When playing a game the rules will differ slightly to adapt to the venue we have.
